Last Assignment: Online Teaching Material

Hello bloggers!

I hope you guys to stay safe and sound, take care of your health, and have nice days ahead in quarantine. :)

So, let's talk about this final assignment for this course. E-learning is not really a new thing being around, but nowadays, it's been widely used all over the world as we can't attend our school or college. Thus, E-learning is the best way available to keep students in a good shape mentally and not being left behind in term of curricular.

This assessment requires us to make a lesson video, with our own creativity on software or program we use to make the lesson meaningful. Before we go farther into the topic, we need to have a record on our target students, their level of understanding, etc. We are also free to choose which topic to teach on these target students.

For my group, we decided to teach pronoun, specifically subject and object pronoun. We use PowToon, an online animation video creator for the lesson video. We have mastered the usage of the program from classroom activity of this very class, thus make us more creative, in a sense, and more professional in doing the animation lesson video.

We were told to apply ADDIE model throughout this lesson. From the older post in this blog, ADDIE model requires at least a lesson video, some training on the topic, and evaluation process from a quiz or exam to decide whether this lesson achieved the teaching objective, or not. So, we make some online quiz maker for the exercise, and we use Google Quiz to record the mark students have achieved from the quiz. We hope that our online teaching material can reach to the targeted students in the future and help them afterwards in their life.

That's all for this blog post. This might be the last blog post for this domain. Thanks to Madam Azida for all of the lessons. I love to learn and will continue to grow my knowledge on the usage of IT to benefit more people. Assalamualaikum, buh-bye. :)

Life in Quarantine - The Breakdown

A pandemic outbreak, happen once in every 100 years, hit right in the spot of my youth heart. By the time I'm writing this, it's been more than 70 days of quarantine. Crazy number, isn't it? While the number of quarantine days is increasing, the number of people contracting the virus each day has never been stepping lower. All the prayers and best wishes go to them.

My days at home? No great moment. I'm a type of person who is always looking for a chance to go outside. Before the pandemic outbreak, it was a must to "lepak mamak" with my friends (5-10 people at a time) from evening to early morning. Deep inside my heart, I miss them so much. But with this pandemic getting crazier day by day, the hope of going back into that norm is almost to none. Weird world, changes human in a blink of an eye, without warning.

Getting out from bed at afternoon, turn on my PC, do some assignment, have some entertainment, play some PUBG Mobile, and sleep in the early morning. It is sick. Thank God I'm staying at home with my family around me. Seeing them everyday is great thing. Now, my prayers go to my friends that's far from home. God's willing, we will see the better day.

Hold tight. This ride is a crazy ride. We are going to go through this together. No people will be left behind. This fight is hard, but winnable. For the front liners, stay strong. You are the real heroes, stronger than Man of Steel, taller than the Hulk, and wiser than the Dark Knight. Loves and wishes go to you guys. Thank you.
