Hello!
As for this week we were introduced to an interesting topic and a graphic-design tool website. The lecture for this week was entitled English Language Learning (ELL). In this topic we were introduced to the function of blog, types of blog and many more. I was already aware that blog has more function than just share information or experience to others.
Canva is a simplified graphic design-tool website. It uses drag-and-drop format which makes it super easy to use and suitable for everyone especially non-designers. I have came across this website few years back when I was in diploma years. Since then it has made my life easier when I need to create any poster for events. The steps are very simple.
1. Open https://www.canva.com
2. Sign up with your email, Gmail or Facebook
(I prefer to use Gmail as it will use your Gmail account address and password to log in. So you don't have to worry about forgetting your password)
3. Click 'create a design' and choose which category do you want to create the design for. Eg: social media, documents, personal, education.
4. Choose what format do you want to use. Eg: poster, business card, invitation card, resume, yearbook.
5. Choose any template of your likings.
(Canva have provided over 50,000 free ready-to-use templates for your next project)
6. Start designing.
(Use your creativity to create the design or you can use the existing templates.)
7. Save and download your masterpiece.
8. Done!
During our class this week, our lecturer (Madam Azida) has assigned us to create at least two designs for our blog's header. One design must use the existing templates the other one we need to create from scratch (use our own dimensions and creativity). These are my 'arts'.
